Lord Ganesha  is widely known as Prathamesh (First)  and Vighnaharta ( One removes all the obstacles and difficulties ) . Lord Ganesha is remembered and worshipped first before every Puja and the start of important work . Lord Shiva along with Lord Brahma consent have declared that Lord Ganesha must be worshipped first ,considering the extraordinary intelligence and qualities that Lord Ganesha Possesses.

According to Kundalini yoga, Ganesha resides in the first chakra called Muladhara . Mula means ” main”; adhara means “foundation “.

Shubh ( Auspicious) and Labh ( Prosperity ) are Lord Ganesha Son.

Apart from Lord Hanuman, even Lord Ganesha is offered Sindoor . Modak ( sweet dish) is offered symbolically and offered to Lord Ganesha as prasadam .

Ganesh Chaturthi falls in the month of Bhadrapada month as per Hindu calendar. This festival is celebrated for about 10 days ,and is celebrated as Lord Ganesha’s birthday . These 10 days are very special and considered extremely auspicious . During this Chaturthi , Lord Ganesha is worshipped everyday with vedic hymns ,Hindu  Artis and Vedic Rituals . Mothers pray to Lord Ganesha for wellbeing on chaturthi ,

This Puja is performed for those who are in debt , obstacles related to poverty and land , for ensuring success in career and business , jobs , education and studies .

Ganpati puja /Homam is also an ideal remedy for a person who is undergoing the Ketu Mahadasha. This puja / Homam reduces the malefic effect of Ketu.
