The word Parad means “Mercury” and Parad Shivlinga is considered as the purest form of Shivling which represents Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. It is made of mercury and silver metal. Parad or Mercury is considered as the purest form of metal and is said to be a seed of Lord Shiva. Worshipping Parad Shivlinga blesses the devotees and provides them with all the worldly pleasures. It is believed that worshipping Parad Shivling is equal to that of performing puja of the 12 Jyotirlingas.
