Sundar(Beautiful) Kand( Story) is literally a beautiful story in praise of  Shri Hanuman .Shri Hanuman is also known as ’ Sankat Mochan’ , one who gets rids of all problems and difficulties.Shri Ramcharitmanas ‘ also well-known as ‘Shri Ramayana’  is an epic written by great poet Tulsidas in the Kaliyug era . Ramayan , is among the most ancient and sacred scripture known to the Human kind . Shri Ram is one of the reincarnation of Lord Vishnu himself . The original Ramayana is believed to be transcribed by Valmiki himself and it is known as Valmiki Ramayan .In Shri Ramayana , Sundarkand is given extreme importance and is considered to be the heart of the entire Ramayan .The entire Shri Ramayan includes seven chapters i.e, Baalkand, Ayodhyakand, Aranyakand, Kishkindha, Sundarkand, Lankakand and Uttarkand.

Sundarkand  describes Shri Hanuman’s stories , of  his loyalty towards Shri Ram along with his wisdom , faith, dedication, strength and immense valou.Shri Ram would have not won the war against Ravan , if Shri Hanuman had not played the most important roles . Shri Hanuman is known for his extraordinary daring feats, strength and loyalty. Be it saving Shri Lakshman’s life by lifting the entire mountain and getting the sanjeevani drug. Lord Hanuman is one of the Ahshta Chiranjeev ( Eight immortals ) who is still alive.

Tuesdays, Saturdays, also auspicious days like Hanuman Jayanti ,Ram Navami , Dussera are suitable to perform Sundarkand Paath.Lord Hanuman possesses the eight most powerful siddhis (powers) and the Nav Nidhi . These eight siddhis(powers) in the Hindu scripture are Anima, Mahima, Garima, Laghima, Prapti, Prakamya, Istiva, and Vasitva. The Nava nidhi are Maha padmam, Padmam, Sankham, Makaram, Kachhapam, Mukundam, Kundam, Neelam, Varam . With these siddhis , literally nothing is impossible for Lord Hanuman.
